There is an age old problem with learning to spin: If you want to learn, you need a wheel, but you don't know if that wheel works, because you can't spin.

We buy Spinning Wheels that are broken, in bits or just unwanted! My Dad turns the wood to make any missing parts and my Mum makes sure they work! After that, we sell them to learners, safe in the knowledge that if their spinning is going wrong, it's them, not the wheel!

We haven't got a wheel you like?

If you would like to be contacted in the future, when one arrives:

  1. Decide how big your wheel can be. Do you want an upright wheel (like the Ashford Traveller or a Shetland style wheel) or can it be a bigger Saxony wheel (like the Ashford Traditional or Haldane Lewis)?

  2. Do you want a specific type of tension? Some wheels we can change from just having Double Drive to also having a Scotch Tension. Do you want an Irish Tension?

  3. What projects do you want to use a wheel for? Does it need a big orifice to create
Art Yarns or Wool Dreads? Do you want a good and even work horse to spin alot of knitting wool?

  4. Email us this information either via

We also buy wheels in most conditions. Send us a message if you have a wheel you want to move on to a new home!
