This week has been filled with carding fleece into batts to sell at the next show for spinners and felters. The most common fleece you can commercially get for this is dyed merino tops. I hate these! They have been processed so much that they don't even look like it came from a sheep anymore!
I hope to eventually get all of my fleece to be from rare breeds, but I have to wait for the end of spring for the fleece to come in (I'm hoping to get my hands on a large amount of Portland sheep fleeces!).
