The years' markets have begun in earnest! We've had two different shows this weekend. On Saturday we were at the Marland's Centre in Southampton. It was a quiet day, but perfect to get back into the swing of unpacking all of the stock and refreshing the displays after the winter.
A big change that's happening with the markets is that I'm streamlining the jewellery. I've decided that glass is no longer for me! I'm gemstones all the way. With that, I'm selling off all of the glass beads I've collected over the years, along with ribbon and tools. Hopefully they will inspire someone new into crafting!
We also spent Sunday in Palmestone Road, Portsmouth. It's a lovely area of Southsea where markets are set almost every weekend. The weather was on our side! It was bright sunshine all day and lovely.
We also had a new line of rings to bring out to this market. I don't do many delicate and dainty things, but these are one of them! I've been trying to work out how to make some rings with a smaller stone in them. It look me a little while to work out, but I've managed it! With a little change in how they are wired in, I've managed to make a range of 4mm bead rings, still all with 925 Sterling silver wire.
